Oh boy, the dogs and the ponies will be working hard this weekend. Can you imagine? All this effort just to sucker the citizens of this burgh into a tax hike. Can't we just fire all the loafers at city hall and get on with our lives?
Speaking of dogs, is there anything else that will find use for Goldberg Park? A couple of benches and a birdbath? C'mon.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't a "rain water stone basin" be a rather nasty breeding ground for mosquitos?
Maybe we should change the name of this place to West Nile Park.
another stupid decision by our city to purchase this land for a tiny park - another reason to vote no on the police iniatitve
The reason our city purchased a tiny lot for this goofy park is because it is required by state law. We have been saddled by SCAG and the Building Trades lobbies in Sacramento with allowing 138 "units" in Sierra Madre. It is required that there be a park attached to a housing complex such as the one SCAG requires. If I owned a home on South Sunnyside I would be nervous. That we have 3 people on our City Council more dedicated to the needs of SCAG and the Building Trades lobbies than the needs of the citizens of Sierra Madre is a glaring example of how poorly our govt serves us ..
The nice little picture of the park seems to have become out of date. The three trees depicted to the right have been cut down.
Chopping down trees for a park devoted to nature?
That's Buchanamoscajoffe for you!
